No More Boring Car Shows

There’s a lot of great cars out there, we should have a car show for the cars that are interesting.*

*Corvettes, Camaros, Mustangs, and Chargers are generally not interesting

What is the purpose of all this?

If you go to a car show or a “Cars & Coffee” event you are sure to see some great cars (in between all the Corvettes, Camaros, Mustangs, and Chargers)

The basic idea is a show for all the cars that routinely get their drivers approached by people who ask, “Hey, what year is that?” It's those cars, the cars that you don’t see everyday, that are interesting.

The easiest definition is “a car that you don’t see everyday.”

In case you were wondering how to narrow that down, here is a list of cars that are more interesting:

  • Any car made before 2005 or so

  • Any JDM car

  • Any car built in the UK

  • Any car built where the engine is from a different brand

  • Any American car not made by the Big 3

  • Any American car built in the 1970s - 1990s

  • Any car built in a country that no longer exists

  • Any car built in a communist country

  • Any car that people routinely mistake for a different car

What makes an interesting car?

Never understood why butterfly doors are not more common

Datsuns are always interesting

Older Alfa Romeo’s just have a look to them.

The Avanti - nothing else needs to be said

The main goal of this whole thing is not excluding people, it just to get a good community of all those people who have weird/rare/fascinating cars.
